Different Sides – Leonard Cohen – No idea why, fter months of being completely indifferent to it, this song hit my musical sweet spot but I think it is the way he sings (croaks?) “frankly” on the “frankly I don’t like your tone” line and the butter gleam in Cohen’s eyes as he he tells her wants to leave the way they have sex alone – Grade: A

 

2. Lady Day And John Coltrane – Gil Scott-Heron – More funk than beat poet – Grade: B+

 

3.Cut Off My Hair Demo – Pete Townshend – This sure sounds finished to me, is this really how he brought demos to the band? – Grade: B+

 

4. NYC – Interpol – Very influential goth rock – Grade: B

 

5. Real N—– Come First – Meek Mill – I’ll go with this guy for best new rapper – Grade: B+

 

6. Lovers In The Parking Lot – Solange – I hated the same of this so much I kinda kept missing it, but it is the best off the new EP, the skittish drum pattern is a dream – Grade: A

 

7. Kiss You – One Direction –  This will be a big hit – Grade: B+

 

8. Sweet Virginia – Kicks the shit right off your shoes – Grade: A+

 

9. C’mon – Ke$ha – Another catchy slice of glam electro pop – Grade: B+

 

10. We Are Never Ever  Again – Tyler Ward – Youtube pop star always performs great covers and this is yet another – Grade: B+
