3. The Winner Takes It All – Susan Boyle – This should do it, Abba's greatest ballad should now enter the pantheon of pop standards covered till the end of time. All it took was a full orchestra and Boyle – Grade: A

4. The Money Will Roll It – Nirvana – After listening to Fangs original, the wonder is how Cobain found the real song within the song. I guess I mean the melody, and I guess that means he was a pop star whether he wanted to be or not – Grade: A

5.Graphic Nature – Deftones – This is the dark grunge ballad Soundgarden don't quite pull off on their newbie – Grade" A-

6. American – Lana Del Rey – Strings invite you into a a strange world of sound, best line not "Springsteen can sing" but "get your Crystal Method on" – Grade: A-

7. We All go Back To Where We Belong – R.E.M. – Their last hurrah points to a future they chose not to reach – Grade: A

8. Love In Vain – El Perro Del Mar – The song is so strong it survives the Swedish singer ignoring it – Grade: A-

9. Make War – Bright Eyes – "Our love is dead but without limits…" is the short version, as Conor noted on the live album – Grade: A

10. 5:15 – The Who – Why should you care? Time to stop age baiting and tip your hat to Townsend – Grade: A+
