Known as “Mr Showmanship”, Liberace was in fact more show than talent. Critics clobbered him, but the crowds went wild. Its really rather interesting. We as a society now just like what we are told (well.. ‘they’ do not ‘us’) but back in the 50s people drove the business cuz in this particular case Liberace became HUGE.
Women screamed he owned Vegas and wore giant capes. Yet if you look at his recorded works..well with all due respect, its not that spectacular.
Yet you WATCH him and its a whole different vibe. This guy was a walking spectacle.
So seriously for nostalgia’s sake check this guy out, tell me if Elton and Elvis and right up to GaGa ain’t got a bit of the dude in um..
