The Mighty Mighty Bosstones got some mighty mighty nerve to take on a remake of The Pretenders “2000 Miles”.
I do like MMB’s sound, vocalist, Dickey Barrett is unique and raspy and I like the horns and all but..
This sucks.
The video aside from showing some pretty cool Boston sights is about as endearing as watching Uncle Steve’s vacation to the Grand Canyon slides.
If you’re going to tackle a monster holiday classic do one of two things
1- take your own spin on it
2- attempt to respect it instead of pissing in the eggnog.
Worse holiday remake of all time..unless I find another the month is still young
