In a recent interview, Lady Gaga admitted to an indulgent younth acording to contactmusic: ": "I just waspartying and being very self-indulgent and trying to find myself. In hindsight, it's so dangerous and I don't encourage anyone to follow that path.
"I remember my dad, I was actually doing drugs in my parents' house one day and they didn't know I was in the bathroom. I came out and my father could tell, and I just remember feeling so embarrassed and I quit instantly."
"I care so much about my father, I'm very Italian American about those things. It was pretty instant."
"What I've come to realise about my life is the joy and euphoria I experience with my fans is far better than drugs could ever be."
I don't doubt her sincerity.
I doubt her ability.
The type of fame Lady Gaga enjoyed last year can be a very fleeting thing and the disappointing Born This Way was the last thing in the world she needed. Lady Gaga gave it everything she had and she couldn't pull it off. Adele is due for a similar fall soon.
And so she becomes a very sad thin indeed: a huge pop star who isn't very popular and who bankjs her life with her fans who will absolutely desert her.
Pop stardom is a blind alley and it is never enough and that will leave her… where? Beyond irrelevance, beyond Lohan, it will lead her to a place where all her hopes are dashed away.
And she has nothing to protect her from the fall.
