Kronos Quartet Curate Week One Of Lincoln Centers Out Of Doors 43rd Season

This is rock nyc so you might not know the string inspired 40 years and counting Kronos Quartet . Though this being rock nyc you might have heard their Plays Sigur Ros 2007 album at least. Anyway, start with their free week long celebration (the info is below) and then move on to weeks two and three where some names you will definitely know, Ruben Blades, Amanda Palmer and Nick Lowe to name but three.

This is all part of Lincoln Centers Out of Door, 43rd season.

The very second show is a live concert “Red Hot + Fela”, whever you hear the words either “Red Hot” or “Fela” in a sentence, it is reason to celebrate… but all three together??? And free???? Wednesday July 24, at Damrosch Park Bandshell, folks.

Other highlights include Nick Lowe on August 10th  and  preceeded by the Crickets (yes, Buddy Holly’s backing band) and Trixie Whitley on Saturday August 10th at Hearst Plaza. If you wanna check out all the concerts o to LCOutofDoors.org. meanwhile here is Lincoln CentersPpress release of favorites:
