"Killer Elite" Reviewed More Or Less

Killer Elite is about a retired professional hitman (Jason Straham) who is brought back into the game after his closest friend, fellow murder for hire Robert De Niro is held hostage  and will be killed unless Stratham commits three hits that have to appear to be deaths by misadventure.

The hits are on former members of Britian's Special Air Service, who attacked Oman and killed three of the Sultan' Of Oman's sons. The Sultan wants revenge.

Meanwhile Clive Owens, a member of a secret society "The Feather Touch" is on his tail.

The English actor came to the world's attention playing tough guys for tough guy director Guy Ritchie in a buncha pretty good shoot em ups, and has continued to be one of the deadliest powers on the screen. He has a quiet intensity that can erupt into extreme violence, in "Killer elite" almost with regret.

"Killer Elite" -based on a true story, is a superior thriller. However, musically there is nothing going on but the Clash's cover of "I Fought The Law" playing in the background at some point and a steady as she goes score for a steady hit job of a movie.
