This comes up because in the post just before this Mary Magpie wonders at Minus The Bear’s indie rock label. She is right but she doesn’t go far enough. Since you can only be a) signed to a major or b) not signed to a major, all the millions of rock bands under column b play indie rock.
So let’s take the useless label outside and shoot it at dawn.
