As someone who recently lost a beloved family member to cancer, there is no doubt at all that the disease does in fact, suck. Up until now the treatment and it’s side effects were just as bad as the disease which was one of the reasons my Aunt at the ripe old age of 85 refused treatment. This resulted in her slipping away from this mortal coil over the course of a mere five weeks.
A new laser treatment known as Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) has emerged as a potentially highly effective way to destroy target cells without the disastrous side effects of chemotherapy.
On January 13th of next year, The Who, Debbie Harry, Richard Ashcroft and Jeff Beck will perform at a charity concert at London’s Hammersmith Apollo to raise money and awareness towards researching this potentially groundbreaking treatment.
In addition to these acts, it is more than likely that additional ones will sign on for this great cause the closer we get to the actual event taking place.
