One good thing about the change from Summer to Autumn? The CMJ (College Music Journal) Music Marathon is back and fighting for indie rock and college crushes that cascade for days in every club and crannie in the city. October 16th – October 18th, 2013 this year.
I hope, though I don’t know how to do it, to write up a guide to rock nyc’s picks and I plan to go to some of the shows myself. Last year I had a real good time and this year, well, this year I have no idea what to expect but I hope to get more of the same.
For me, a working stiff, lunch gigs are where it is at, and the KEXP Radio shows seem like a smart move.
Here is the info:
The KEXP Live Broadcast will be returning to CMJ Music Marathon and taking place at the landmark Judson Memorial Church in NYC’s Greenwich Village. Open 9 AM to 5 PM, Wednesday 10/16 through Friday 10/18, the KEXP Live Broadcast at Judson will allow attendees picking up their badges to dive right into CMJ 2013. A full line-up of bands and KEXP DJs will keep the broadcast going nonstop in true CMJ Music Marathon fashion.
This all-ages event is free and open to the public. All entry will be on a first come, first serve basis. Visit CMJ.com/KEXP for more details.
