Kevin Greenspon’s Bridgetown Records Is Fantastic

Why is Kevin Greenspon not tearing up the indie charts?

You got me.

Not only did Kevin’s Bridgetown Records give us Cloud Nothings, Vehicle Blues and Kevin’s own, excellent, lo fi, high melody killer songs. Oh and No Paws (No Lions) and Nicole Kidman and now, in the usual weirdness we expect from the great Greenspon: “R. Sawyer’s excellent new release under his new name, Aulea”

Not only do they look cool and alternative and are now available on itunes er, actually only one song is available on itunes. I’ll tell you why some other day.

But they are so damn hip without trying they would be the avant garde to meet if they weren’t so damn accessible.

Woody, don’t you run a rock show  promotions company? Get these guys on a tour of the East Coast already, I’m sick of waiting.

The rest of you, take five minutes off from fellating Kings Of Leon and listen to some music by bands who deserve it. Let’s make Kevin, if not rich, comfortably well off.
