Cloud Nothings you know, right? Well. Kevin Greenspon is the guy who first recorded the band on his truly indie label Bridgetown. A label so on its own, it seems to in a different business entirely! And a label who when a band appears on it you know you're gonna love the band. You just are.
As a solo artist, Greenspon is a lo-fi guy with an ear for a melody and an electronic wiz kid.
I've been following Kevin for a couple of years and now am thrilled to have the opportunity to see him live. This being Kevin, he aint playing the late show at Mercury Lounge. Rather, small art venues and friends apartments are the order of the day with no tickets, donations only, five bucks the recommended dollar figure. They have two dates in Brooklyn and I am sure my own Brooklynphobia is well documented here, but there are exceptions and this is one absolutely.
Kevin FB'd me the following info: "I do have Brooklyn shows (one is a private apartment show) . There is also a public show at Body Actualized Center on 9/14 and I will be playing a festival on an estate in Monticello on 9/15. Those are my NYC area shows. I have no idea who sets up shows in Manhattan so I couldn't get anything there."
