Kevin Greenspon And James Barba At The 6th Year Anniversary Of Monday Nights Sean Carnage

I've told this story before but it bears repeating. A coupla years ago I went to a Totus Andronicus concert at Bowery Ballroom and while everybody else came out raving about Kickball Laty's side project, I, myself, have bnever been very keen on Vivian Girls and it was an earlier act, Cloud Nothings, a highly melodic lo-fi band, who grabbed my attention.

Kevin Greenspon, owner of Bridgetown Records and a great musician in his own rights releases some of Cloud Nothings music and he got in touch with.

I immediately became and I remain a huge, huge fan.  Needless to say, if for no other reason than that, rock nyc has been worth all the time I've put into it.

Kevin does his own thing, commercial success is clearly a secondary consideration as he won't release his music on mp3's, won't come to the East Coast and won't play nightclubs (art installations only, please.
