Ke$ha At Madison Square Garden, Thursday April 12t, 2010: Get The Feeling She Has Done This Before by Iman Lababedi

In a sparkling silver jumpsuit and fronting a faux rock band, wild girl of sophomoric dance Ke$ha came out to the strains of Flo Rida’s “Right Round” -where Ke$ha was introduced to us via Dr. Luke’s well manufactured hit groove back in March 2009.
A year and a half, “Blah Blah Blah” blasts from the speakers and Ke$ha plays a half hour of high octane dance rock. Ke$ha flirts with the audience, says “fuck” a lot and dances in a gymnastic inelegant but aerobisizes somewhat desexualized. There are 5 guy and 5 female dancers behind and it is energetic and fun.
Not a seconds lull, not a bad moment. It is hard to say what the highlight is, nothing differs from her hit album Animals. Nothing is at risk. It is as sparkling and shiny as the stage she is singing on and while she is a charming center of attention, it is a riskless half hour.
Best moment I asked: the way she said “I like your beard” at the end of “Your Love Is My Drug”.
She ends with “Tik Tok” and everybody is singing along.
A breeze of a set. Nothing much here but pleasant enough.
