I was sorry to hear of the death of Kathryn Grayson. Apparently she went to sleep and never woke up.
Always a favorite of mine, I’ll never forget her as the feuding wife in “Kiss Me Kate” or the love interest in “Anchors Away”.
A gorgeous soprano, Ms. Grayson had wanted to be an opera singer and when she couldn’t make it tried out for Hollywood though it was the New York bound “Anchors Away” with Frank Sinatra and Gene Kelly that made her a superstar.
She is survived by oodles of kids, grandkids and great grandkids.
They don’t make em like Ms. Grayson anymore.
