The song of the year (so far?). Yup. Could be, a countrypolitan sweetheart reminiscent of Patsy Cline’s Final Recordings.
It sounds like an immediate stadard with k.d. -always a great singer but sometimes saddled with less than wonderful material.
But really, this is like cream for the ears. Remember Madonna’s “Take A Bow”? Same vibe. Cline’s “Does Your Heart Still Beat For Me”? Same vibe.
A masterpiece -sure sounds like one to me.
