Titus Andronicus producer Kevin McMahon, commenting on Mike Nessing’s The Monitor review, wondered if the press had been paid off.
Well, as my old pal Julie Burchill once noted, the biggest payoff in the music biz is not money or drugs but friendship so I guess we have.
Except of course for Helen Bach!!!
However, it got me to thinking my interview with him could have been a lot more useful so here is some more info garnered off Kevin’s myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/marcata). His studio was Marcata Recording and it was for analogue recording. They got given the boot and Marcata Recording is now a production company with no fixed abode though they are resident in “a big old barn”.
