I’ve seen Smith Westerns live twice and loved em both times, though I thought their first album was a little slack.
Maybe the problem was it didn’t really fit anywhere.
But I just streamed Dye It Blonde on NPR and I am very impressed by the consistently, I mean every fucking song, quality of the songwriting. Considered glam rock, it is more like a lo fi variation on “Girls” indie pop.
