I was not only forwarded an email, but a new perspective.
Patti LaBelle said of American Idol that “Some of the judges, I don’t think they’re qualified to judge.” I think that she is certainly qualified to make that statement. I’ve definitely disagreed with the judges, but never thought that they shouldn’t judge. Now, I think that Patti’s right.
“The comments that were made, they could make you like wanna kill yourself.” She’s certainly correct. They are a bit too harsh, and sometimes they’re completely out of line. They can put a real downer on people’s self esteem.
This new perspective has given me a totally different idea of the show; maybe the judges should lay off of the mean comments. I’m all for constructive critisicm, but they should calm it down a bit.
Let’s not be too cruel.
