Johnny Maestro Blows Out Last Candle

The legendary Brooklynn doo wopper Johnny Maestro, who sang “Sixteen Candles” with one of the first inter-racial bands The Crests, died yesterday.
Maestro was also the voice of  “The Worst That Could Happen,” “Blessed is the Rain,” “Welcome Me Love” and  the overwhelming “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”
Maestro was so good his name could be mentioned in the same breath as Dion who said: “Johnny was a class act. He was truly a gentleman.”
Maybe now the losers at the Rock And Roll Hall of fame will honor the Maestro.
