Both Dylan and Baez -guiding voices of the early sixties, sang on February 9th as part of PBS’ “In Performance at the White House: A Celebration of Music from the Civil Rights Movement”.
Dylan croaked “The Times They Are ‘Achanging” and Baez “We Shall Overcome”.
All very nice.
Except with the opportunity for the former lovers to unite again somebody blew the call because they didn’t.
You can stream the video of the entire show on PBS.com which includes the ubiquituous kissass John Mellencamp and living legend Smokey Robinson.
To be dead straight -the two songs I heard we’re a trifle dodgy.
