A concert to aid Gulf Coast residents affected by April’s oil spill ffeatures Sonny Landreth, Zac Brown Band, Kenny Chesney, Jesse Winchester and Allen Toussaint. It will air live on CMT beginning 8 p.m, July 1.
A free concert who’s fundraising is only a commemorative t-shirt.
Is this supposed to be a mood lifter? Cuz seriously, no one needs mood lifting, we need answers solutions and results.
And each one of these ‘stars’ should be digging deep and writing checks to thank their fans for paying off their mortgages rather than singing them songs. What people don’t seem to ‘get’ is entertainers are employed by their fans. Its time to turn it around.
Give back more than sound. This ain’t the story of Little Drummer Boy. These are mega stars of their genre. Make it mean something.
