What inspired you in the beginning to become a country music recording artist?

Inspiration came early on.. I was about 8 or 9 when I first was inspired to be the “country singer” and tell stories through music. My Grandmother said “you sound so good singing in church, but listen to this…just listen and if you can sing like this, you can sing anything and she started playing the Greatest Hits record of Patsy Cline. I couldn’t stop singing her songs focusing on emulating the emotion that poured out in her voice and the songs. So, I guess the answer to that would be my Grandmother and Patsy Cline.

What motivates the messages in your songs?

Life’s ups and downs.

Who were your biggest influences growing up and even now?

My influences are Patsy Cline, Stevie Nicks and Shania Twain.

Is there a moment in your life that you can recall that changed the trajectory of it?

Yes, 13 years ago, I went into sepsis from bronchial pneumonia and went to leave this earth twice as I went into septic shock…. That moment forever changed my life’s direction as I realized that my soul purpose here on earth is to sing and use my voice to not only heal and fulfill my heart and soul but to also touch others in the world the same way ….. To shine my light bright for others to see so they can shine theirs brighter!

Where would you like to be in five years?

Traveling the world singing and sharing my stories…..Doing film and of course writing new songs……

What do you like? Best about performing live on stage?

Feeling the connection of the fans and feeling my own connection spiritually.

You have just released your newest single, what was the inspiration behind that?

We all go through tough times in this life that really test us…. It’s how we handle and persevere through those times that build who we are causing our inner lights shine brighter

If you could have me ask you any question on the planet, what would it be and how would you answer?

The question would be: Do you write your own songs?

Yes, I write my own material from other’s experiences as well as my own life experiences however, I do love to collaborate with other writers as well as have songs pitched to me for projects…. I love taking a song and interpreting it and delivering the story or message in my own special way!
