Jay-Z and Alicia Keys Serenade the US on Wednesday
A little ho hum this. Jay Z and Alicia Keys will open the World Series on Wednesday with “Empire State Of Mind” -the most highly overrated song of Jay-Z’s career.
In case you didn’t know that would be at the New New York Yankees Stadium… a place little place WITHOUT A RETRACTABLE ROOF. Quite why the powers that be who gave so much goverment funding to the project couldn’t convince the Yankee management to a) add 20,000 seats and b) spring for a retractable roof on this one and a half billion dollar home that George built is beyond me.
I prefer Jay-Z to Billy Joel but not to Bobby Short and would be much happier if he autotuned his voice and covered “Manhattan”.
