Japanese Pop Stars: No Japanese, Potential Pop Stars -by Helen Bach

There are very few times in life when I feel hip.  This could potentially be one of them though the jury is still out.

Japanese Popstars.
Well first off do not appear to be Japanese.  On the contrary their myspace make them appear to be the neighborhood boys fron Leave It To Beaver.  Weird slightly nerdrock looking trio of white boys with forced smirk.
The video “Let Go” is a acid trip of imagery that’s not exactly top notch hip but pretty close.  Sorta walked away from it feeling like I should grab a clove ciggie and a black beret.
I would put up the video but the code is whacked.  You can check it out on their mypsace link below.
I don’t really know what to call this band other than electronic thump.  A new genre, I just invented in my quest for something new that doesn’t suck.  “30 Seconds To Mars Closer to the Edge”, is the win of the site.  Its repetitive and the tones at times are disturbing.  Midway I hear what sounds like sheet metal its just a trippy mess.
I do not dance.  I do watch others dance and laugh.  Going to a Japanese Popstar show would have me in tears of laughter cuz its a fantastic beat.

www.rocknycliveandrecorded.com is getting a bit too dancy, I blame the new kids.
But this is really something worth exploring, if only for its sheer novelty.
