Look at it this way, I’ve seen Janet Jackson live on stage twice and she blew me away each time though it was something like ten years ago. One thing I can promise you: she didn’t lip synch and you could hear the exertion in her breathing.
So the news that Janet will be taking Michael’s role in the upcoming Jackson 5 revival tour hits me as a very good one indeed. If Jermaine and his brothers can manage to keep the necrophialism to a mininum I can see no reason to expect this to be anything less than a great band reviving some of Motown’s finest moments.
