Ira Glass And A Coulpla Wainwrights “Say Yes” To Elliott Smith

If you listen to This American Life, this weekly story telling Chicago Public Radio show, you know who is Ira Glass, and you probably admire his way of putting together a show about twins switched at birth, cruelty of little children, urban legends or dark tales of health insurance.
I don’t know why this video only surfaces now since it was filmed at the end of February, but you can watch Ira Glass teaming up with Lucy Wainwright Roche (daughter of Loudon Wainwright III and half-sister of Rufus) to sing Elliott Smith’s ‘Say yes’. I guess Pitchfork was digging very deep in the archives of YouTube to find something new to say around Elliott’s death anniversary.

Ira Glass has used Elliott Smith’s music a few times in his show, as the songs seem a perfect match to the mood of some of his stories.
However, Ira’s way of singing is so awkwardly bad, it becomes comical but he is one of these guys who can get away with such a painful act. At the only condition he does not repeat this crime too often.
