"Insidious" Movie Review(Kinda Sorta)

I loved Patrick Wilson in "Watchmen", as a sensitive and easy going superhero, an Everyman who can tough it out. In "Insidious" he is the paterfamilias of three kids and a wife who have just spent the night in a house… a… haunted house!

Things start going bump and then really go bump when the youngest son falls in a coma for no reason any one can figure… could he be lost on the ASTRAL PLANE???

Darn tootin' and there is a very nasty red eyed demon who wants to come back to Earth and raise some trouble. This PG-13 frightfest earns its chills and jumps with sharp twists and turns  and an ending… well, I won't tell you about the ending.

I will tell you that the mother is a songwriter -a fairly crappy one from what we hear of her on the piano, pencil in mouth, music paper being scribbled on. AND more importantly, the demon, who has good enough taste in music to wanna destroy her life, gets his kicks in the "Further" (don't ask me -further along the astral or something). playing "Tiny Tim's "Tiptoe Thru The Tulips" for some bizarre reason.

The song has never sounded creepier.
