The sad thing is the lack of advertising that the infamous Beatle was to be on the show. I didn’t even realize that it was a new episode, I thought Id be asleep not watching what has become yet another unfunny SNL season.
Really what sort of background do you need for Sir Paul?
Hes done it all, seen it all, married it all, bought it all.
Hes preached it all, been here been there, wrote this wrote that.
To be quiet frank
Paul McCartney is Paul McCartney. A legend. A great.
A man who as Iman stated earlier today ‘you cant throw a rock without hitting’
What the hell is up with the massive McCartney push? OK, were glad you made up with John before his passing, we forgive you for Wings… wait does he know something we don’t?
Could this be his last hurrah or is he plugging iTunes or milking Lennons anniversary?
Jet? Up there in his standard stance with that silly tip toe thing he is surrounded buy older well dusted gents. Vocals are too low but it doesn’t matter, and why is there so much equipment?
Iman thinks its a great bass and for a man of his age a great vocal.
I just cant get past the world tour amount of equipment that’s on that stage.
But is it true that Paul isn’t playing, Iman suggests its the synth and
rhythm guitarist carrying it?
Personally I’m mortified by the off note back up vocals.
But its Paul McCartney.
Let it Be.
Iman adds:
No, i don’t think i will. Helen called a Lennon tribute and there it was, the 3rd of 4 songs. “A Day In the Life” seguing into “Give Peace A Chance”. very moving. but so is a diesel truck. Also, “Band On the Run” to follow “Jet” and “Low-Retta” as Hel dubbed it earlier in the evening, to close out the show.
Let it Be?
Let it rest in peace.
