Some weeks are just plain expensive. I awoke on Monday, January 23rd with $600 safely nestled in my savings account, playing and by Saturday the 28th, it was gone into the pockets of the rich and famous. Here is how.
On the Monday itself, I bought a tix for Roger Waters "The Wall" concert at Yankee Stadium. Cost? $76
The next day, 7.50 to see Pissed Jeans at Le Poisson Rouge this Saturday. Running total: $83.50.
Wednesday: Pulp at Radio City in April $92.50. Running Talling: $176. Same day, Kathleen Edwards at Webster Hall and I can't tell you how psyched I am for that one. Cost: $33. New Total: $209.
Thursday, Odd Future at Hammerstein. I really didn't think much of them last year at T5 BUT, I got first balcony which means I get to sit down, which means I might actually be able to see something. $46.50. Running bill: $255.50.
And so to Friday. Bruce Springsteen, twice. Once at MSG and once at Prudential: $240. Florence + the Machine at Radio City, $53.50. New total: $549
And finally… Red Hot Chili Peppers at Prudential Center. Cost: $81.15.
The week in tickets: $630.15.
