When I was young(er), and getting into alternative music, my taste of music was soully Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, and Panic! at the Disco. Two out of three of those bands are not fully together any more, but FOB had a good and long life. For Panic? Disappointing.
With a band that shaped my taste in music breaking up, I’ll get over it but to see a few of them try to continue a music career is more painful than anything else. The Young Veins, who I’ll be seeing this week, are just not the same in the least. Panic gave you a thrill along with lyrics perfect for a Facebook status, heartbroken or giddy. TYV just bring back memories of the band that people used to love. It’s just not the same.
Let’s panic for the disco.
