I am currently listening to 9-song debut album from the Atlanta-based band The Villains. The album is titled “Just Another Saturday Night”.

After a first listen, I knew that I am hooked. Usually, I write about hard rock/metal music, but occasionally a band comes along that is not in that genre that I can say that I truly like.
I am trying to pin point their sound. Lets see…. It is a cross between CSN (since they have a few tunes that the guys sing in harmony), a bit of Barenaked Ladies-ish comedy and they also have the heartland acoustic John Mellencamp feel to them. A bit of an odd mix of people I mentioned here, but find out for yourself and check these guys out.
I can see myself sitting on my newly stained deck, chillin out with a beer having this album playing on the Ipod. Just really good, feel good music.
