Henry Santos, Friendly Fires And An Afternoon Of Gospel At Summerstage Over The Next Two Weeks

Tomorrow, Friendly Fires, the Limey experimentalists, are playing at Summer stage, a live gig, and I am thinking of going. I went to Britney last night and I have Jimmy Fallon doing stand up tonight, but if I can muster the energy, I wouldn't mind checking out  AT LEAST opening band Cults.

A week today (Saturday, August 13th at 3p) Henry Santos, of the hugely popular Aventura, is playing a free concert. You need to go to the Mainstage box office on 75th and 5th (it is just in the park) to pick up a free ticket on Wednesday August 10th between 12p and 5p. I absolutely plan to go myself. It is simply a must must must see. That's all!

The next day is Gospel Day at Summerstage. I've been many times and it totally depends on who they have playing. This year it is big time producer and solo artist Donald Lawrence. He had a huge hit back in 2004 and likes to sing in front of a choir. If you have any interest in modern Gospel, this is major stuff and should be seen.

Plus, I like watching the Christians get down!
