Help Fund Mekons Documentary

If not the greatest of the punk rock groups that came out of the UK in the wake of the Sex Pistols in the late 70s, the Mekons are certainly the longest lasting!
The Leeds band have been around since 1977. they hit their height in 1985 with “Fear And Whiskey”, and have just kept on going ever since.
At the moment documentary director Joe Angio is trying to get the breat to complete a documentary based upon the band.
According to the press release you can score  signed copies of Jonathan Franzen’s new book, Freedom; new artwork from the Mekons’ Rico Bell; signed photographs of Lester Bangs; more rare Mekons memorabilia — including original, handwritten lyrics — and… dinner with the Mekons before shows on the band’s autumn 2011 tour.
