No thats not Loraine Neuman from Saturday Night Live, thats Kate Bush.
In 1978 I was 12 years old and I knew more about music, the lifestyle, the world than most people double my age.
How am I so sure?
Cuz I was hanging out with them. I was the tiny kid sister to wayward American youths with Doc Martins and snarls.
And when the show was done and the room filled with smoke there was always one person who pulled out some crap music calling it great and I would die with laughter.
It was during this time that I heard Lena Lovich and Nina Hagen (ask me to do my Nina impersonation, spot on I tell ya)…sorry back on topic.
Kate Bush had one of the funniest songs of that time.
I clearly remember standing on top of a mailbox screaming
“Heathcliff, its me, Cathy come home!!!”
in the screetchiest voice I could muster then throw myself off the side with dramatic ballet.
As a klutz it was classic humor.
Kate was my joke.
Ive added the video here for your entertainment.
I owe ya a laugh after subjecting you to the smell of Sting in my earlier post.
So now 32 years later Kate is BACK!
Hell yeah a new release from Englands squeeler!
Reports of new material surfaced via music blog, Wotyougot.com, and a Bush spokesperson responded to the rumors by saying a release from her is likely in 2011.
This would be her first release since 2005, but it may as well have been since ’78 cuz nothing holds a candle to this and it never gets old.
GREAT sparkletard too!!
