Hell Freezes Over Again: The Eagles On Spotify!!!!

they can never leave…

Well, the 1990s are certainly over, aren’t they? Don Henley, who never met a dollar bill he didn’t love, was at the forefront of the war against Napster, file sharing, blah blah blah. He hated MP3s as much as, wow, as much as Pink Floyd or Paul McGuinness) so imagine my shock and awe when I found highlights of their career on the subscription streaming music service.

This follows less than a week behind Pink Floyd putting up everything I can think of, including a 20 minute “Shine On You Crazy Diamond” recorded live at Wembley back in the day.

The Eagles, like Paul McCartney, are a little more circumspect, with the opportunity to put up the lot as a sort of living archive, they pass on The Long Road Out Of Eden. Long Road was the 2007 last hurrah to CDs , released through Walmart and selling millions. I guess it is their way of paying their respects.

I don’t care. They have been crappy live the two times I’ve seen em and I would consider the only must buy the blue greatest hits.

Here is a quick grading of the albums.

The Eagles – B

Desperado – C-

On The Border – C+

One Of These Nights – B
