Smashing Pumpkins suck. Billy Corrigan is a jerk and not once has he done a thing but stroke his own ego and turn on college kids who want to be cool while playing beer pong.
BUT Passion Pit? Woody Fullers fave band (though he hated this song).
Yeah they suck too but this remake of the Pumpkins “Tonight, Tonight”, actually makes it sound very cool. An interesting rearrangement. Stripped of Corrigans nasal honk, vocalist Michael Angelakos.uses a really squeely falsetto to relay the song in a more vulnerable tone.(Beard bonus!)
The keyboard calliope in the back ground add a depth the songs originators couldn’t find amongst their own self lovin’.
