Hel is sick!! Swollen glands, stuffy nose, coughing, and sleeping non stop. Right through SNL for one one thing.
So poor wee iman rushed from Prince at MSG to Lil Wayne and Eminem on SNL. And very, very good they were too. Performing “No Love” off Eminem’s Recovery and fronting a full funk band plus a bank of computers, Lil Wayne killed but Eminem slaughtered.
At one point, Lil Wayne pulls up his shades and his eyes are swollen like he has spent the weeks since he got out of jail soaking em in Kush. Still he is in fine form.
But Eminem is better tonight: he spits it with power and passion, tonguing his words like they are the pins and grenades, first he bites it, then he spits it, then he throws it, then it explodes.
The second song they split, and this time Lil Wayne steals it with an overwhelming “Six Fo0t Seven Foot”.
Oh,and and they both look like well dressed rock stars.
As for young Helen: she is still snoozing. but she will be get better soon and be back in time for next week when it’s Kings Of Leon. Hey, wait a minute… Hel, haven’t we done this before?
