1. Apple Scruffs – George Harrison – Imagine this, Harrison was THE WEAK LINK IN THE BEATLES.  A wonderful ode to the  Beatle super fans, who waited outside the Apple HQ, day after day, year after year. The harp just rules this track – Grade: A+

2. Timeout New York – The Normal Life – How great is this? It sounds like Carole King writing for Ronnie Spector in 1963 – Grade: A

3. Bassline Junkie – Beez & Honey – I prefer the Dizzie version, but this will do fine – Grade: B+

4. Away We Go – Coheed And Cambria – This is so great, a pop rock blow out. Sounds nothing like em – Grade: B+

5. Exploding – Jim James – The finger picked guitar sounds completely timeless and the entire instrumental sounds completely timeless – Grade: B+

6. The Curse Of Curves – Cute Is What We Aimed For – OK, this is the reasol the band deserves a revival – Grade: B+

7. Youth Wasted – The Bronx – The honest roar of rock and roll but rock and roll, not that crap Linkin Park stick us with – Grade: A

8. Revengeance – Soulfly – This is metal? – Grade: B+

9. Bathroom Laughter – Pissed Jean – Greatest rock and roll band on earth (unless they suck at Bowery Ballroom) – Grade: A

10. The Opener – The Courteeners – This si what the Script claim they do but they don't manage it: acoustic rock – Grade: A
