1. Explosions – Chanel West Coast – Probably the best song off her mix tape, the beats are awesome, little explosions in the middle of the song, a systematic banging and her tone is agressive enoough for chick hop – B+
2. Can’t Help Loving That Man of Mine – Rosetta Alters – Froma 1972 production, maybe not the best ever – C+
3. Happy – Pharrell – It doesn’t work as it sounds like it should, maybe Pharell is a little too cool, but still a damn good song – B+
4. Romance – Wild Flag – Magnificent proto-Sleater Kinney rocker from the great gone girl band – A
5. I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues – Elton John – Pretty awesome pop rock song with more depth than it deserves – A-
6. The More you Ignore me, The Closer I Get – Morrissey – A nearly perfect Moz song – A
7. Big Brown Eyes – the dB’s – This is Holsapple’s most complete song, indeed it is the dB’s most complete song, this is where they leave Alex Chilton to his own dievices and reach into a growing bag of stunning melodies and intricate arrangements (particularly the background harmonies) and reach for something so simply perfect – A+
8. Julian – Say Lou Lou -80s synth pop from new Zealand – B+
9. Holly Holly – Nancy Sinatra – The most succesful song on the album just because it saves you from Diamond’s theatrical take – B
10. Chillin’ With You – Britney And Jamie – the sisters bonding song is possibly Brits worst moment – D
