1. I Woke Up Dreaming – Lydia Lunch – A great image though the song itself is the subterranean sound of things crashing around your ears same as it was; No New York lives, on this live album from a year ago – B

2. Budapest – George Ezra – Some songs are just right and this is one of them, the song has a hook for a chorus and a hook for a verse, and it plays out into a huge hit career maker – B+

3. No Strings – Chloe Howl – This is another strong that a singer can build her career around, hidden on Kick Ass 2 over here, the EP must be doing business in the UK. I mean, must be – A

4. Are You Experienced? Live 1986 – Marshall Crenshaw – The surprise here is certainly not that Marshall can handle the guitar but that Marshall can handle the vocal – A

5. Life, Love & Hope – Boston – The deeper I get into the new Boston the more disappointments show up.  BUT this isn’t close to one of them, guitar driven AOR ballad – A-

6. Nothing’s Real But Love – Rebecca Ferguson – X Factor winner in the UK, but man has she got a voice – B-

7. Your Sister Can’t Twist (But She Can Rock And Roll) – Elton John – A great lost Elton John song, doo wop, calliopes, rock and roll, and a great lyric – A

8. People Ain’t No Good – Live From KRCW – Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds – Sure it’s a great song, but you already own it on a better album than this live deal – B

9. Brainless – Eminem – This joke ain’t funny anymore – C+

10. Trouble Again – M.I.A. – Album outtake and good enough to make you wonder why they took it off – A-
