From Morrissey to Mel  theres always a guy willing to croon.  But when you add Childish Gambino and A$AP Rocky there could well be a knife fight and my money is on them.

1. Please Be With Me – Eric Clapton – Acoustic version it says here, as opposed to what exactly? Well, I guess it is a little quieter than the original – –

2. Can’t Stop Me Now – Rod Stewart – Always a winner, and now I have the extra knowledge of his family hovering nearby and rejoicing in his success, it is even better – A

3. Scholarship – Juicy J, A$AP Rock – I guess what makes new rap sodifficult is that it is actually art rock but it thinks it is pop. Shame about the lyrics – B+

4. Legs Shakin’ – R. Kelly, Ludacris – Exactly what you hoped it would be only worse – B-

5. Episode – E-40 – And T.I. and Chris Brown – Wow, a dog How long has T.I. been out of prison. Shouldn’t he be back on track – C-

6. Presence Of The Lord – Eric Clapton – Terrific song, pretty good version – B+

7. The National Disco front – Morrissey – Mick Ronson gives it its crunch courtesy of Ziggy – A-

8. Frenesi – Mel Torme – From the Verve sessions – A

9. I. Crawl – Childish Gambino – Autotune!! – C-

10. Oxford comma – Vampire Weekend – can they say the F word on PBS?
