1. Like A Prayer  MDNA World Tour/Live 2012 – Madonna – Just what the world needs? A masterful song performed live for the umpteenth time as part of her worst tour ever. Just wonderful – C

2. Deny – The Clash – Weakest song on their first album but still, how bad can that be? – B+

3. Privateering – Mark Knopfler – This guy’s guitar sound is so distinct, every song he plays sounds the same only more or less. This is less – B-

4. Now On – Earth, Wind And Fire – When they say 10 new songs, what they mean is 10 songs that sound as good as their old ones but were written recently. Good news – B+

5. London Calling – The Clash – Their finiest moment? Well, except for the UK and US versions of the first album – A+

6. Live For – The Weeknd, Drake – Everything Drake touches is turning to r&b gold right now, including this, the best Weeknd the r&b have come up with – B+

7. Macarthur Park (feat back up vocals by Brian Wilson) – Jimmy Webb – None of its camp appeals this straight forward, uber-powerful version – B+

8. Hey Now – London Grammar – A little bland though the vocals are strong – C

9. Meet Me In The City – North Mississippi Allstars – Smart boogie – B

10. Actress – Body/Head – Arty former Sonic Youth, on an album whose lead song is called “Abstract”. Which may be a joke but I don’t see you laughing – C-
