4. Love’s For Babies And Fools – Linda Thompson – This is an instantaneous classic which seems to exist in a timeless world where Thomas hardy characters and modern day people live in the same timeframe – A
5. Mary’s Place – Bruce Springsteen And The e Street – This is why bruce isn’t who he once was, there was a time, in the late 1980s, when this wouldn’t have sounded like such hard work to write, so studiously thoughtful, it’s the “let it rain” repeats that give the game away – B-
6. Sweeter Than Fiction – Taylor Swift – That’s right folks, cheer on the little guy – A
