My friend and IT guy John Witt emailed me:
“I am not sure if you watch the series Hung on HBO. Last night there was a song playing that got under my skin and took me a day of searching to find it. It is an obscure album out of the UK. But the song in question ‘Bone’ is really good in my opinion. The voice and demeanor of the song sounds like a cross between Lenny Kravitz and Jimi Hendrix. I ordered the import as soon as I found it.”
I can’t improve much on John’s description but I can add that the obscure album is a collaboration between DJ Harvey and Thomas Bollck of A.R.E. Weapons fame called Map Of Africa. And I think what John was getting at was that it is dance music -electronica, melded to hard rock.
In his DJ mode he performs 6 hour concerts in LA!!!!
