Why is it always the foreign YouTube musicians I become fans of?
I discovered two boys, Harry and Alfie Hudson. They're Irish, and they're pretty much the most talented musicians I've heard in a very long time.
They covered The Beatles' "Help!" and "Ticket To Ride" in one song, outside in the snow and cleverly titled it "Help! It Snowed!/Ticket To Slide". Adorable. I hate when people cover The Beatles because 99.99% of the time they kill it. I will go as far as to say I like it better than the original. It's absolutely fantastically beautiful. It's flawless, their voices fit it perfectly. Not a single thing even slightly off, it's completely gorgeous.
They also did my one of my favourite Mumford and Sons songs, "The Cave". I think it's just that the singer's voice can fit any song ever. Their friend Dennis played with them on the violin, and it was really impressive. However, the mics and video quality weren't that great. However, that was the only negative part. It's from a little while ago, and really shows how much they've improved in the past, but they've always been talented.
The other cover of theirs I love is a cover that they did with two other musicians, DaViglio, of Florence And The Machine's "Dog Days Are Over". I don't like the original, so it was good to hear the song in a new voice. The girl isn't annoying, and all four of their voices blend great together, even with different accents and styles. By far the best cover of the song I've ever heard. All of them separately are so talented. When you put them all together, it's mind blowing. I've watched the cover easily 10 times. I can't get enough of it.
Harry and Alfie are two of the most talented musicians. Ever.
