Harper Blynn Playing a 730p Set At Mercury Lounge by Iman Lababedi

I missed Rock NYC faces Harper Blynn in December at Bowery Ball Room and having simply worshipped their power pop album The Loneliest Generation from late last year and referenced the masterful break up single “Centrifugal Motion” so ofter I bet they even got sick of it.

So I am very happy to note that I get the chance to see em again at Mercury Lounge on February 19th when they play an early show (730p!!) opening for limey’s Wakey Wakey who I know nothing about except NME like em and I love their name.

As for Harper Blynn, they hark back to a wonderful Manhattan tradition. No, not the multi-culti mutty angle but the early eighties power pop stepping into the sneakers of the dB’s, the Individuals, even the Romantics.

Miss Harper Blynn at your peril -they are a better future head of a scene then anybody in Brooklyn can imagine…
