When I was rock nyc contributing editor’s Mary Magpie age I was the editor of my High School’s paper and I wasn’t half as good as Mary is. Of all the remarkable things I’ve seen editing this music blog , the most has been how rapidly the multi talented writer has flourished. Mary has been writing here for over a year and today is her fourtenth birthday.

Of all the remarkable things I’ve seen editing this music blog , the most has been how rapidly the multi talented writer has flourished. Mary has been writing here for over a year and today is her fourtenth birthday.
As a writer, Mary can review well but she can interview better. At least two posts stand out. The first is her wonderful posts from the warped tour last summer. The other is her Black Veil Bride interview. The BVB interview hesitates between fangirl and reporter and finally joins the two and BVB’s fanbase. There is a reason why it is the most popular story we’ve posted. That’s because it is the best story we’ve posted.
It is a pleasure to edit her and all we here at rock nyc wish her the very best because, Mary, once you hit 15 it’s all over.

Happy Birthday to our own Mary Magpie.
Its really not cool for me to say anything over the top about her cuz well that wouldn’t be very objective.
I can thank her for being my partner in crime and let her know I’m amazingly proud to call her my daughter.
I can thank her for doing so much for this blog and for bravely standing up for what she believes in.
Though sometime she listens to crap and well I’m sorta disturbed about this whole new ‘techno’ thing.. its a phase, it’ll pass…right?
