Standing around the watercooler yesterday discussing the CMA’s Lisa Fay, Crystal Kyler and I agreed upon these salient facts.
1. Lady Antebellum are Lisa and my band because we saw em at the tiny Joe’s Pub just before the first album was released.
2. I think Jimmy Wayne got shafted on the best new singer award.
3. Crystal said Taylor can’t sing.
4. We all agreed Taylor is a great song writer.
5. Lady Antebellum noted that far from suddenly finding success all three members of Lady Antebellum have deep roots in country songwriting.
6. Lisa still hasn’t forgiven carrie Underwood for seven costume changes in an one hour slot opening for Keith Urban.
7. All of us agree Carrie is completely pre-programmed and that because, unlike say hip hop, country is not a producer but a songwriters medium, think Carrie doubly sucks..
8. Completely forgetting the CMA called Taylor Artist of the year I rail at em for ignoring her in 2010.
9. All three agree to picket Z-100 till they rename themselves country zoo and play Merle and Willie all day and all of the night.
