Last night, or rather earlier this morning at 12:36, “H.A.M.” was released on a special Face Book page set up by Kanye’s peoples. This is the first single to drop from the highly anticipated Kanye and Hova collaborative CD, Watch The Throne, which is set to hit the web in March.
H.A.M. is a strange title for a song… thinking back one hip/hop artist, Yung Shoota, whom I was working with in NC once said to me, “Woody ( well he actually ‘my N*gg@ woody’) goin HAM.” I was uncertain about this new slang, which troubled me, bc I normally know all the new ish and to what it exactly meant. However, my main man Mac Boi assured me it was a compliment. And now after listening to this song, I now know H.A.M. means Hard as a MuthaFucker. As Jay-Z and Kanye continuously recite it through out the chorus. I am not in love with this track, buts its good, and its the first one. I know “Monster” was supposed to be on this CD, but Kanye hi-jacked it onto His Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
